Happy Days ~  Day 24 painting in Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days challenge! My inspiration for this painting came from my  friend Penny @happydaysfarm on Instagram. She is such a sweet person and lives on the most  beautiful farm.  I love her fluffy butt chicken posts and she has an adorable bunny, Sugar.  I look forward to Sugars posts each day, too!!  I admire this adorable little log cabin on her farm so you can image how excited I was when Penny said I could use her photo for  reference in todays painting.

I began with a thin coat of yellow ochre acrylic paint on a 8 x 8 x 1.5 wrapped canvas. Next, I skitched the cabin, for size and location.  I began layering on paint with a palette knive giving the 3 dimentional effect and lots of texture drawing you right to the adorable little cabin.  This painting is for sale and is listed on my website. http://www.creativeworksoflindaclark.com/images/happy-days Thanks for following my journey!  Enjoy your day,  See you tomorrow!

Red Barn ~ Day 23 painting in Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days!

 I started with an acrylic pink underpaint on a 14 x 11 x 1.2 wrapped canvas.

While waiting for the paint to dry mixed my basic colors and values for the painting.

Then I sketched the size and location of the barn. This painting was done with palette knives.  I think I'm beginning to like painting with the palette knife!  Until tomorrow!  It is for sale and you can find it on my website http://www.creativeworksoflindaclark.com/images/red-barn or you can contact me if you are interested.  Only 7 more paintings for the 30 in 30 challenge.   Until tomorrow!

Rustic Cabin ~ Day 22 painting in the 30 in 30 challenge with artist, Leslie Saeta.  This painting is a 4 x 4 x 1.5 and is listed on my website. Www.creativeworksoflindaclark.com

Winter Sunrise ~ Day 21 painting in Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days.  This painting is on a 10 x 10 x 1.5 wrapped canvas.  I first painted a red acrylic background.

I started to use the pallette knife but just didn't feel comfortable with it so went back with a brush.  I think the painting was too small and of couse I need to practice more. Hoping to learn to use it in my new class.  I signed up today for Artist Roisin O' Farrrell's Love to paint workshop so will start that on October 2.  This I hope will teach me some of the basic oil painting techniques since I have had no teaching/training.  Anyway..... this painting is for sale and you can find it on my website.  http://www.creativeworksoflindaclark.com/images/winter-sunrise
